Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VPN Duo ("VPN Duo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application, VPN services, websites, customer support, or related services (collectively, the "Services").

We believe privacy is a core part of a VPN service. VPN Duo is designed to protect your online activity and minimize the amount of personal data we process. By using VPN Duo, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.

01Our No-Logs Commitment

VPN Duo does not collect, store, or log your VPN browsing activity. This means we do not collect or keep records of:

  • Websites you visit
  • DNS queries
  • Browsing history
  • Online content you access, download, upload, or transfer
  • The content of your internet traffic
  • Your destination IP addresses
  • VPN session logs that identify what you did online
  • Connection timestamps that can be tied to your VPN activity
  • VPN server usage history linked to your identity

We do not link your subscription, support requests, device information, or analytics data to your VPN traffic or browsing activity. To provide the VPN connection, certain technical information may be processed temporarily in real time by VPN infrastructure. This temporary processing is necessary to route your connection and provide the service, but we do not store it as VPN activity logs.

02Information We Collect

VPN Duo is designed to work without requiring you to create an account. We collect only limited information needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.

2.1 Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase a subscription through the App Store, payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your credit card number, CVV, cardholder name, billing address, or other full payment credentials. We may process limited purchase-related information, such as:

  • Subscription status
  • Purchase or transaction identifiers
  • Order history
  • Renewal, cancellation, refund, or billing status
  • Entitlement status needed to unlock paid features

We use this information to provide subscription access, verify purchases, manage refunds, prevent fraud, and maintain accounting records.

2.2 Customer Support and Feedback

If you contact us by email, through the app, or through another support channel, we may process the information you choose to provide, such as:

  • Your email address
  • Your message content
  • Screenshots or files you send to us
  • Information about your device, app version, or issue, if relevant to your request

We use this information only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve support quality.

2.3 App Diagnostics and Performance Data

We may collect limited diagnostic and performance information to keep VPN Duo reliable, secure, and functional. This may include:

  • Crash reports
  • App performance data
  • Error codes
  • App version
  • Operating system version
  • Device model
  • Language settings
  • Connection success or failure statistics
  • Latency, speed, or reliability metrics in aggregated or de-identified form

This information is used for troubleshooting, service reliability, capacity planning, security monitoring, and product improvement. We do not use diagnostic data to collect VPN traffic, browsing history, DNS queries, websites visited, or downloaded content.

2.4 Aggregated and De-Identified Usage Statistics

We may process aggregated or de-identified statistics about how the app is used. These statistics are not intended to identify you personally. Examples may include:

  • Feature usage counts
  • Button tap counts
  • Subscription screen performance
  • General country or region-level service demand
  • Server capacity and load statistics
  • Aggregated bandwidth usage for infrastructure planning

We do not use aggregated statistics to reconstruct individual browsing activity or identify what any specific user does online.

03Information We Do Not Collect

VPN Duo does not collect or store:

  • Your browsing history
  • Websites you visit
  • DNS queries
  • Traffic content
  • Files or content you download or upload
  • Destination IP addresses
  • VPN activity logs
  • Per-user VPN session history
  • Connection timestamps linked to individual VPN activity
  • Records that identify which VPN server you used for a specific browsing session

We also do not sell your personal data.

04How We Use Information

We use collected information only for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain VPN Duo
  • To verify subscriptions and unlock paid features
  • To process refunds, billing status, and accounting records
  • To respond to support requests
  • To detect, prevent, and troubleshoot technical issues
  • To maintain service availability, reliability, and security
  • To analyze aggregated app performance and improve the product
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not use VPN traffic data for advertising, profiling, or behavioral tracking.

05Advertising and Analytics

5.1 Advertising in the Free Version

If VPN Duo offers a free version, it may display ads to help support the cost of providing the service. We may use advertising partners such as Google AdMob. Advertising partners may process certain device, advertising, or interaction data according to their own privacy policies and applicable platform rules. Where required by Apple policies or applicable law, we request your permission before using data for tracking purposes across apps or websites owned by other companies. The paid version of VPN Duo may have fewer or no ads, depending on the subscription plan and app configuration.

5.2 Analytics and Attribution

We may use analytics and attribution tools to understand app performance, subscription performance, and marketing effectiveness. These tools may include:

  • Firebase by Google for crash reporting, diagnostics, and performance monitoring
  • Qonversion for subscription analytics and entitlement management
  • AppsFlyer for attribution and marketing performance analytics

These providers help us understand whether the app is working correctly, whether subscriptions are active, and how marketing campaigns perform. We do not allow these tools to collect VPN traffic content, browsing history, websites visited, DNS queries, or downloaded content from VPN sessions.

06Third-Party Service Providers

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the Services. These providers process information only for specific business purposes, such as:

  • App diagnostics
  • Crash reporting
  • Subscription management
  • Attribution analytics
  • Fraud prevention
  • Infrastructure and hosting
  • Customer support
  • Legal and accounting compliance

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not share VPN browsing activity with advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties because we do not collect or store such activity.

07Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Typical retention periods include:

  • Subscription and order records: retained as needed to provide paid access, process refunds, resolve billing disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with accounting or legal obligations
  • Support communications: retained only as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain reasonable internal follow-up records
  • Crash and diagnostic data: retained for a limited period needed for troubleshooting, reliability, and security
  • Aggregated statistics: may be retained for longer periods because they do not identify individual users
  • VPN traffic logs, browsing history, DNS queries, and website visit records: not retained because we do not collect them

08Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information processed through VPN Duo. These safeguards may include:

  • Encryption in transit
  • Access controls
  • Limited internal access to operational systems
  • Monitoring and logging of administrative actions
  • Separation of development and production environments
  • Security reviews
  • Incident response processes
  • Infrastructure monitoring
  • Secure deployment practices

No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. However, we work to maintain appropriate safeguards designed to protect the limited information we process.
